The 35th edition of the Fabulous History of a Kingdom is launched

This year’s edition marks a return of the famous show to the building’s great hall after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. Last year, an outdoor version was presented in the parking lot of the Théâtre du Palais municipal.

The show will be offered until August 20.

Spectators will discover several new features, including a renewed soundscape. Spokesperson for this 35e anniversary, the singer René Simard admits to having been impressed by this aspect.

What I find beautiful in this show is that they keep adding to it, improving the show. This year they have focused on sound and it will be an extra immersion for people. They have a new state-of-the-art sound system and people will be able to experience it more intensely, revealed the singer from Chicoutimi, who was treated to a warm welcome from the crowd before the big premiere on Wednesday evening.

The production still brings together more than 150 volunteer actors.

Remember that it is the actor Jean-Pierre Bergeron, originally from Jonquière, who is the new voice of the Spirit of the Fjord, replacing the late Michel Dumont, who recorded it in 1988.
