On Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Kamiyama Observatory Hall of Kyoto Sangyo University, as an event related to the special exhibition “Meteorites x Asteroids – Exploring the Origin of the Solar System -“, the 2nd Astronomy Course “Return Samples of Meteorites and Asteroids” will be held. The Origin and Evolution of Small Bodies in the Solar System” was held with approximately 40 participants.
In the lecture, lecturer Megumi Matsumoto (Assistant Professor, Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University) explained how the solar system was born, and how she analyzed samples of meteorites and asteroids as part of her own research.
