Hanover. The international travel portal “Big 7 Travel” draws attention to itself with curious top lists. For example, at the beginning of the year, the site selected the country with the sexiest accent. The winner: New Zealand. But also culinary lists of topics keep making headlines.
Now the travel portal has dedicated itself to a favorite dish of the Germans: the doner kebab. On its website, “Big 7 Travel” a list of the 25 best kebab shops around the country released.
“We know that everyone has their own favorites, but these restaurants are really the best of the best,” the portal writes. There is something for everyone in the list: from the restaurant to sit down to the takeaway snack for the night of drinking after the pub. But which kebab is really the best?

This city tops the ranking
According to the portal, the best kebab comes from: Stuttgart! In the Alaturka restaurant you sometimes have to wait 30 minutes for your doner kebab (the queues at the counter are quite long), but you get an absolute doner kebab highlight: only fresh ingredients, homemade bread, local meat and grilled meat Vegetables. “Simply perfect,” judges the travel portal.
Mustafas Vegetable Kebap from Berlin made it to second place. The combination of “super fresh ingredients and delicious meat” is particularly important here. A “match made in heaven”, according to the portal. “So good that you want to come back immediately.”
Cologne, Hanover and Frankfurt in the top ten
Third place is a kebab snack from North Rhine-Westphalia: Vivats Grill in Bonn. The restaurant has been located here since 1984 and describes itself as “Bonn’s oldest kebab shop”. Especially the different types of meat from which customers can choose are particularly important here. The grill is also known for its falafel offerings and therefore also ideal for vegans.
Fourth place goes to Türkitch Köfte & Kebap in Munich, fifth place goes to Mr. Kebap from Hamburg. The remaining places in the top ten include kebab shops from Cologne, Hanover, Berlin and Frankfurt.
