The 24th edition of the Nit de l’Art turns into a daytime event. It will be held from this Wednesday, September 16 to Saturday, September 19 from twelve in the morning to six in the afternoon to avoid crowds. From Art Contemporàni de Palma they say that the easy thing would have been to cancel the edition. However, they have decided to transform it because galleries, they say, are the “great transmitter between art and society.” One of the novelties will be the dialogued visits that will be guided by experts from the art world.
The cancellation of the Nit de l’Art as we knew it until now has been a measure that has been taken to avoid crowds and prevent contagion. The president of Art Contemporàni de Palma, Frederic Pinya, has stated that “for people who make a living from art it is essential that people visit galleries”. And with this daytime edition they will be able to publicize the artistic offer of the city. From Art Palma they affirm that celebrating art is already a victory.
On the other hand, from the Palma Town Hall they certify that culture is safe. For this reason, they have launched dialogue visits. Four in Palma and one in Andratx that will be held from Wednesday to Saturday from 12 in the morning to 7:30 at night in small groups of eight people.
