Hangzhou Grand Theater’s 2024 golden autumn performance season is here, including Su Dongpo, Qu Yuan, Xi Shi and Carmen
September is coming, and autumn is not far away stages and 143 performances, covering drama, dance drama, musicals, parent-child drama, opera and other fields, gathered famous artists and the show was exciting. In this performance season, Hangzhou Grand Theater will continue to launch various kinds of charity performance tickets to meet the cultural needs of all ages.
Beautiful dance in the national dance season
Famous artists, famous groups and famous works, the Hangzhou Grand Theater has a high “golden content” in this golden autumn.
From September 27 to 28, the epic drama “Going North” adapted from Mao Dun’s Literary Prize-winning work of the same name will be presented at the Hangzhou Grand Theater. “Going North” takes the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal as its backdrop, and uses the joys and sorrows of small people as the gateway to restore the canal’s image and history of national honor and shame.
From October 6 to 7, the musical “The Great River Goes East” will be held to explore the world of Su Dongpo’s poetry.
The original drama “Spring Dawn on Su Di”, co-produced by China National Theater and Hangzhou Performing Arts Group, by Xin Baiqing, will return to Hangzhou from October 24 to 27.
From November 8th to 9th, “River/Clouds/Between” directed by Lai Shengchuan will be held. Thirty-five years after the premiere of “Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land”, Lai Shengchuan created the sequel “River/Clouds/Between” again on the drama stage in 2021, with Jiang Binliu is a star. and he will appear again in this round.
Wang Yabin, Yang Liping, Da Zhu, Luo Wenbo, Zhu Jinhui… National style dance season is coming again.
From September 5 to 6, the dance drama “Lady from the Sea”, directed and starring Wang Yabin, adapted from the classic work of the Norwegian drama master Ibsen, explains the turbulent undercurrents in a peaceful life.
From September 14 to 16, with Yang Liping as the main director and Tan Dun as the music director, the original stage play “Image of Jingchu” landed at the Hangzhou Grand Theater, reviving romantic Qu Yuan.
From October 1 to 2, the original Chinese dance drama “Xi Shi”, in which Yang Liping serves as artistic director, will be held.
From October 12 to 13, the young dancer Luo Wenbo “The Great Name” will lead the audience through thousands of years and discover a historical mystery that has existed for a long time.
From November 29 to November 30, the elegant oriental dance drama “Only My Blue and White”, the same style as the Spring Festival Gala and popular in the circle, will dance with old charm and elegance.
Gathering musicians from all over the world
This golden autumn is international, with musicians from Denmark, Belgium, France, Holland… from all over the world gathering here.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, on October 31, 12 principals, principal actors, directors and 4 great singers from the Chamber Orchestra of the Opéra National de Paris visited Hangzhou for the first time . Performing the classic French opera “Carmen”, you can listen to high quality, original classical music and arias at your doorstep.
On November 2nd, the famous Dutch symphony wind orchestra in the Kingdom of the Netherlands will perform BLOW! The Symphonic Wind Orchestra brings a wind concert to Hangzhou music fans.
On September 8, the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra opened its 16th musical season, inviting conductors such as Jacek Kaspuchik, David Leland, Markus Stanz, and Alexander Lahbari Home also “Siegfried”, the third part of the opera “The Ring” of the Nibelung”, so that we can continue to listen to the legendary story of the Ring.
