Southeast Network, November 19 (our reporter Zheng Xiaodan) On November 19, the China Unicom 2023 Wuyi Mountain Marathon kicked off. 12,000 marathon runners from across the country started from Wuyi Square and ran on the “Drunken Oxygen Track” to experience the profound cultural heritage and beautiful natural scenery of Wuyi Mountain National Park.

The Wuyi Mountain Marathon, founded in 2014, has completely upgraded the track. The track connects major nodes in resorts, scenic spots and urban areas such as Wuyi Square, Meixi Bridge, Citizen Square, Tea Tourism Town, Guixing Highway and Lantang Bridge. The competition consists of three events: marathon (42.195 kilometers), half marathon (21.0975 kilometers), and healthy run (5 kilometers).

After fierce competition, Mireyi Kamalinur and Wang Jing won the first place in the men’s and women’s marathons with times of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 49 seconds and 2 hours, 59 minutes and 34 seconds respectively. Liu Geng and Chi Yunbing won the second and third place in the men’s marathon group respectively, while Wei Amin and Zhou Xianmei won the second and third place in the women’s marathon group respectively.

Li Zhengyue and Zheng Zhiling won the first place in the men’s and women’s half marathon races with times of 1 hour, 06 minutes and 21 seconds and 1 hour, 21 minutes and 29 seconds respectively. An Zhen and Mardan Akramhan won the second and third place respectively in the men’s half-marathon group, while Wu Xiaomei and Lin Ting won the second and third place respectively in the women’s half-marathon group.

“This is my first time to come to Wuyi Mountain.” Mireyi Kamalinur from Ili, Xinjiang said that the Wuyi Mountain Marathon track is very clean, the air is fresh, and the audience is particularly enthusiastic. “Will come again next year!” he said.

“Today’s condition is not bad.” Wang Jing from Fuqing said that due to some discomfort in her feet in the past few days, she was a little worried during the run. But in the last 2 kilometers of the race, she changed from a relaxed running state and chose to sprint, advancing her plan to “break 3” (finish the race within 3 hours). “I hope I can run on the Wuyishan track with everyone again next year,” she said.

“The biggest feature of Wuyi Mountain is that it has mountains and water.” Liang Xueren, director of the Fujian Provincial Track and Field Cycling Management Center, said that through this marathon track, the audience can follow the athletes’ running and experience the beautiful scenery of Wuyi. In his opinion, the temperature conditions in Wuyi Mountain were suitable that day, especially suitable for half marathon runners to perform well.

It is understood that this event has made careful arrangements in terms of medical care, security, emergency rescue and volunteer services, and recruited 1,392 volunteers to participate in the event volunteer service work. In terms of medical rescue, Wuyishan City arranged for 2 hospitals in the city to participate in event support, and set up medical observers, rescue teams, 21 medical stations, 15 ambulances, and 30 AEDs along the track to provide participating athletes with good event medical support. .

This event is hosted by the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and the Nanping Municipal People’s Government, hosted by the Nanping Municipal Sports Bureau and the Wuyishan Municipal People’s Government, and co-organized by the Wuyishan Municipal Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau.
