The results of 2023 are the same as in 2019. The Popular Party has obtained 8 councilors and has an absolute majority that will allow it to govern without ties. They have received 1,596 votes, that is, 56.71% of the total.
For its part, the Socialist Party has not been able to improve its 2019 results, although it has not suffered excessive punishment after the alleged vote-buying scandal. The Socialists have had 1,138 supports, 40.44% of the total. They will have 5 councilors.
Among the councilors who have obtained a place in the plenary are the two arrested candidates, Francisco Flores Torres and Cristóbal Vizcaíno. It will be necessary to see if they collect their record or give way to the next two on the list.
It must be remembered that in 2019 the PP won with 8 councilors, while the PSOE-Somos Mojácar achieved 5 councillors, that is, the same as this time.
