Libreville, Friday October 13, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The first lady of Gabon, Zita Oligui Nguema, launched the 10e edition of the fight against female cancers.
The fight against female cancers in Gabon has a different face this year. That of Zita Oligui Nguema, the wife of the Head of State, who officially launched in Lambaréné, capital of the Middle Ogooué province, the 10e edition of this campaign. This was marked by a pink fitness session called “Zumba 01” and awareness activities. With Professor Adrien Mougougou, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, and Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo, governor of the Moyen-Ogooué province, at her side, the first lady of Gabon took the opportunity to pass on the message that save lives.
The official opening ceremony which followed the stage devoted to sport was characterized by speeches, a visit to the screening units, and the presentation of the donation of consumable inputs and medical equipment by the host of the day. Zita Oligui Nguema and her delegation then carried out a guided tour and the inauguration of the SAMU social branch.
The Albert Schweitzer Foundation hospital also welcomed the wife of the President of the Republic. The exchange between the first lady and the women of Middle Ogooué focused mainly on the problems that the latter face on a daily basis.
