The Ecuadorian championship will begin on the weekend of Friday, February 19, 2021. This was reported by LigaPro through a statement to the 16 Serie A clubs.
The Professional League 2021 will be played from February 19 to December 13 (dates scheduled for the finals). That is the plan for this season, if there are no problems with the Covid-19 pandemic.
”(…) We notify that the February 19th will start the LigaPro Serie A championship, season 2021, announcing the fixture in the coming weeks (…) ”, indicates the document signed by David Constante, LigaPro director of competitions.
The 2021 season will be very tight, due to the participation of the Ecuadorian team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers (10 games are planned this year) and the Copa América Argentina-Colombia.
LigaPro still works on the calendar of the meetings of the 16 teams in Serie A and will deliver it in the coming days.
