The 2 week 5 day old has blood on his belly button

Hello
I need your help.. Our little worm has the following problem as described in the title above. It’s not inhuman, but there’s always something about the body. I’ve been cleaning it several times a day since today and I’ve already put some almond oil in it.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to heal faster? Or has anyone had it with their little worm?

So with my little one it was completely normal, according to the midwife. However, you should probably leave your belly button alone as much as possible.
And I should clean with Octenisept if needed. I don’t know if almond oil is that good?!
Don’t have a midwife?

Leave it alone, it will take a while for it to heal completely.

This was the case for all 4 children.

It happens, just let it dry and “heal”, do not put cream on it.

With us, the remains of the navel fell out very late in all 4 children, with Mini it lasted even longer and “wet” in the form of minimal blood.

Please no almond oil or other manipulations and don’t panic “just keep an eye on it”. But don’t scrub or clean it.

Both KiA and my midwife gave the advice: Octenisept plus Weleda’s Wecesin powder (do not dust around the baby, but apply the Wecesin powder very gently to the areas around the navel).

If Octenisept has been found, you can carefully remove dried blood from the navel, but do not medicate around the navel itself. Then Wecesin.

I no longer had a midwife

Thanks for the replies, that’s probably normal. My other two didn’t have it and today I watched a video of a midwife cleaning and the almond oil is supposed to help but I’m leaving it alone now.

Our midwife said:
Do not answer. Just spray once a day with Octenisept

Is the video explicitly in relation to a bleeding belly button or general belly button care?

You can’t go wrong with Octenisept (a skin antiseptic that doesn’t burn) plus Wecesin. And with “don’t manipulate it” already three times no.

If you are unsure, your KiA will be happy to check again.

I wish you the best!

Octenisept what is it? Where can I buy this?
Yes, we have a date for U3 on December 29th, then I tell them to check it out
