Operation of the tourist train: € 13 per trip
– Visitors’ transport, equipment maintenance, the CFHVS (Historic Railway of the Sacred Way) will focus on what it can do in the field of operation. Also, for marketing, a partnership has been established with the Sud Meuse tourist office, which is therefore responsible for the reservation part, as is already the case with the vélorail activity.
– Price wise, it’s € 13 per trip, € 35 per family of 4, € 8 for 6-14 year olds, job seekers and people with reduced mobility. It remains to be seen for the groups.
– In full operation, from 2022, the historic train will run from mid-May to mid-September, every Sunday afternoon with two round trips and possibly Saturdays. The season could be lengthened to achieve the objectives, provided that the teams of volunteers are reinforced.
– Tourism specialists who have studied the historic train project are counting on 5,000 visitors transported at the start, with the possibility of increasing to 10,000.
