The 1st Canarian Trail League is underway

Drafting Deporpress | Under the organization of the Canarian Athletics Federation, this weekend started the first edition of the Canarian Trail League, which will consist of seven tests in total, but it will only visit three islands: La Palma, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. Likewise, it will be divided into three modalities with three races for each: short, medium and long.

This Saturday, the Artenara Trail has been in charge of kicking off this league with its short 10-kilometer modality. In the male category, the Gran Canaria won Octavio Leon and in women it was imposed Yasmina Sanchez.

Later, it will be the average distance of 29 kilometers on the sixth Cheese Route, which is held in Casillas del Ángel on July 10, the second meeting of the League.

The third race will also be held on the island of Majorera, the San Andrés Trail. With 17 kilometers of distance it will be the second test for the short modality. Meanwhile, the fourth will change province and will be the Reventón Fred.Olsen Express in La Palma the one that welcomes the next race and the first in the long mode. Its 46 kilometers they will be part of the League.

Likewise, on September 18, Fuerteventura will once again be the scene of one more test, the fifth and final to decide the champions of the short modality. It will be in the night race of 16 km of route on the Dolores Night Trail.

Finally, Gran Canaria will host the last two La Liga events. Thus, the sixth will be the Ski Tour Gran Canaria, which will be played on October 16 and will score for the League in its modalities of 21 and 50 kilometers. Finally, the Intermountain Parallel 28, the race of the Village of San Nicolás, will be la final and in which the winners of the first Canarian League in the medium and long modality will be known. It will be next November 13 at their distances of 22 and 60 km.
