Born in 1980 in Brandenburg an der Havel, Katja Rosin grew up in Berlin. In 2000 she began studying at the Berlin School of Drama, which she graduated four years later. She subsequently appeared on various stages: for example at the Volkstheater Rostock, the theater on Effingerstrasse in Bern and at the Landestheater in Coburg. In 2016 she completed an apprenticeship as a theater pedagogue and worked at Berlin schools and educational institutions, for the Goethe Institute and for theater. In 2017 she moved to Naumburg, where she worked as a theater teacher, dramaturge and actress at the local theater. Katja Rosin has also appeared in several films in recent years. With episode 3.451 she took on the role of Selina von Thalheim in the ARD telenovela “Storm of Love”.
The series ran on September 26, 2005 for the first time on the screen. The 17th season is now being broadcast. Around 150 employees are in front of and behind the camera during the shooting. The recordings are made in the studios of Bavaria Film GmbH in Grünwald near Munich. Ten kilometers of cables and 557 headlights are required for the lighting. Around 96 lipsticks and around 380 powder jars are used every year. The series, which was sold in 20 countries, tells relationship stories around the five-star hotel “Fürstenhof” in the fictional community of Bichlheim in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. There have been a total of 54 weddings in the series since the beginning. It is considered the most successful weekday television series in Europe.
