Goal journalist Charles Watts has said on his YouTube channel that Arsenal’s youngster Charlie Patino has made a big impression on some of the Gunners’ senior players.
Arsenal played Brentford in a closed-door friendly at London Colney last Thursday.
Patiño was not a starter, but the 17-year-old entered as a substitute for fellow midfielder Mohamed Elneny in the 33rd minute.

Mikel Arteta’s team won 4-0.
Watts said on his YouTube channel: “I understand that he also made a big impression on some of his senior teammates.”
One for the future
Patiño is only 17 years old and has been playing for Arsenal’s under-23 team.
The youngster has often been praised by Arsenal fans, as we have covered here and here at HITC Sport.

The teenager is not yet ready to play week after week with the Arsenal first team.
However, it is certainly very positive and encouraging for the midfielder that he has impressed Arsenal’s veteran players against Brentford.

For now, Patiño needs to continue to play well for Arsenal’s youth team and take advantage of the opportunities he has to train with the senior team.
There is no rush for Patiño, who is only 17 years old and still needs to develop and progress.
Arsenal are in a rebuilding phase at the moment, and young players like Patiño will have opportunities for years to come.
In other news, some Arsenal fans believe Wenger just gave hints about the job.
