Such intensity of training is a huge challenge for any child, but Liu Luyang never complained. He knows that only by putting in more effort can he achieve better results on the field.

Yang Yan, Liu Luyang’s mother, said: “Liu Luyang ran about 10 kilometers yesterday morning, and then he ran down and said, oh, mom, I really can’t walk anymore, my legs are sore, and I may not be able to practice in the afternoon training class. But the child’s mouth I said it hurt, but I still came here to practice in the afternoon. I felt quite distressed and a little moved.”

Liu Luyang is 12 years old this year. When he was in first grade, he was selected to train with the city tennis team. “Every time I come, I never want to leave.” This is the deepest impression Liu Luyang left on coach Wang Dong.

Wang Dong, coach of the municipal tennis team, said: “After two years of training, by 2021, he has won the provincial championship. Moreover, he won the bronze medal in our first stop, and then practiced for another month and won the silver medal. , he practiced for another month and won another gold medal, so his development is relatively fast.”

During Liu Luyang’s training, his parents gave him the greatest support and encouragement. His mother, Yang Yan, accompanied Liu Luyang throughout his stay in Nanjing and took care of him. In many national competitions this year, Liu Luyang showed extraordinary strength and stable competitive status. He has successively won the U12 men’s singles championship at the 2024 China Youth Tennis Tour in Zhejiang Jiaxing Station, Guizhou Guiyang Station, Jiangxi Nanchang Station and other stations.

In August this year, Liu Luyang successfully qualified to represent China in the Eddy Hole and Orange Bowl International Youth Tennis Championships with his outstanding performance.

Wang Dong, coach of the municipal tennis team, said: “The competition he participated in this time is called the World Youth Cup for short, which is a competition for teenagers from all over the world. He is playing on behalf of China, and the competition is quite valuable.”

Liu Luyang is full of expectations and confidence for the upcoming International Youth Tennis Championships.
