The 11th Lanzarote Biennial of Art is about to start out | leisure and society

This Thursday, September 1st, the 11th version of the Lanzarote Biennial of Artwork kicks off with the inauguration of the exhibitions ‘Hidden Assets’, ‘Archaeological Museum of the Revolt’ and ‘Monument to the Darkness’, the 1st of a vast and rich plan that will very last until March 2023.

Curated by Adonay Bermúdez, from Lanzarote, this version of the Lanzarote Biennial of Art stands out for its social and political heritage in protection of folks and citizens’ rights. In addition, it addresses issues and discourses associated to social motivation and dissident tactics this kind of as migratory flows, historical memory, artwork and ladies, which are also the central axes of its programming.

The collective exhibition ‘Hidden Goods’ and ‘Museo Arqueológico de la Revuelta’, by Avelino Sala, will stay hosted at MIAC – Castillo de San José right until 7 November.

Monument to darkness, by Eugenio Merino and Miguel G. Morales, for its aspect, can be frequented in the Hermitage of Tías till 15 Oct.

The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, the running director of the facilities of art, tradition and tourism, Benjamín Perdomo, and the curator of the 11th Biennial of Artwork of Lanzarote, Adonay Bermúdez, will present the most appropriate elements of these exhibitions through an act that will choose spot tomorrow, Thursday 1 September, at 09:30, at the International Museum of Modern day Art, MIAC – Castillo de San José.

At the conclusion, they will acquire a guided tour of the two the exhibitions housed in the MIAC – Castillo de San José and the Hermitage of Tías.
