On May 24, 19 young children and two teachers were brutally shot and killed after 18-year-old Salvador Ramos entered a Robb Elementary elementary school with a semi-automatic rifle.
These days, a hearing is taking place in Congress where several survivors and survivors are telling their stories to American politicians.
The goal is to influence politicians to change gun laws in the United States.
Among the testimonies that made the strongest impression was the story of 11-year-old Miah Cerrillo.
“Good night”
The 11-year-old and the rest of the class were watching the movie “Lilo & Stitch” when the two teachers Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia received an e-mail about locking the door, because an active shooter had entered the school grounds.
But the teacher never managed to lock the door.
The shooter entered the classroom, made eye contact with the teacher and said “good night”, before he shot her, Cerrillo has previously told CNN.
After shooting the two teachers, the perpetrator attacked the 11-year-old’s classmates.

The bullets hailed, but the 11-year-old and a couple of others in the classroom escaped. They eventually managed to get hold of their dead teacher’s phone and called the police.
