From the 10th edition of the Bilbao Triathlon, this coming Saturday, the Spanish medium distance champion will come out. The Bilbao event returns to the national calendar with 300 more participants than the 2020 edition. At the presentation of the Bilbao event, it was announced that the capital of Biscay will host the European Championship next year.

The first test, that of swimming in the estuary, will have a distance of 1.9 kms, the bicycle race will have 83 kms of travel. After leaving Bilbao, you will go to Galdakao, Larrabetxu, Morga, Mungía, Urduliz, Erandio and arrival by the river to the back of the Guggenheim where the half marathon will start with four laps of a circuit on the left bank of the estuary.
This medium distance triathlon is joined by another discipline: aquabike. A sport that suppresses the triathlon race. That is, just swimming and cycling. It will be the first Spanish championship of this new sport.
Regarding participation, in the elite test, the organization has the presence of Eneko Llanos and Gustavo Rodriguez in boys and Elena Alderdi in women.
Traffic will be affected mainly in the neighborhoods of Deusto, Uribarri, Zorrozaurre and Olabeaga. Traffic cuts will be between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. next Saturday.
