Düsseldorf (dpa) – The 10th matchday of the Bundesliga will open with the match between TSG Hoffenheim and Hertha BSC on Friday evening. The other games at a glance:
1. FC Union Berlin – FC Bayern Munich (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.)
Situation: FC Bayern travels to the capital with the cup humiliation against Gladbach. Everyone is expecting a corresponding reaction – especially since the championship lead is at stake. Union struggled into the next round of the cup, but ultimately continued the series of successes. As fifth, the Berliners only six points separate them from Bayern.
Statistics: Union likes to make it difficult for Bayern and was the only opponent last season against whom Munich could not win at least once. In addition: The Iron are a home power, unbeaten in 21 competitive games.
Personal: Union Berlin fears about the use of Kruse. He had to stop training on Friday, otherwise everyone is fit. At Bayern there is a question mark behind Goretzka because of a flesh wound on his foot in Gladbach.

Borussia Dortmund – 1. FC Köln (Saturday, 3.30 p.m.)
Situation: Dortmund wants to stay on the heels of championship leaders FC Bayern with a win or even overtake them. Cologne has the chance to jump into the top third of the table.
Statistics: BVB can set the club record with the sixth home win in a row at the start of the season. Dortmund’s team scored six wins in 1994, 2003 and 2013. Last season, FC achieved their first win at BVB in almost 30 years.
Personal: In addition to Haaland and Can in the short term, BVB is probably missing seven other professionals. Top scorer Haaland is replaced by Malen. At FC Skhiri and Jannes Horn are still not available.
Special: FC striker Modeste scored twice in the derby against Leverkusen and twice in the cup. Can he now manage his third double in a week?
Bayer Leverkusen – VfL Wolfsburg (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.)

SC Freiburg – SpVgg Greuther Fürth (Saturday, 3.30 p.m.)
Situation: The starting position could hardly be more different for both teams. The third-placed SC is the only unbeaten Bundesliga team, the bottom of the table Fürth is still waiting for their first win.
Statistics: In Fürth’s Bundesliga premiere season 12/13, Freiburg won both games. What else speaks for the SC: At home, the Breisgauer have been unbeaten for eight games.
Personal: Freiburg has to do without its offensive players Petersen and Sallai, and several defenders are injured. At Fürth, Seguin could return after his yellow card suspension. Overall, however, the newcomer is missing five professionals who were not named and who tested positive for the corona virus.
Special: SpVgg has scored just six goals so far this season, half of which is attributable to striker Hrgota – who scored all three goals with a penalty.
Arminia Bielefeld – FSV Mainz 05 (Saturday, 3.30 p.m.)
Situation: Bielefeld needs the first point three to be able to leave the relegation places. The seventh in the table Mainz started well, but has only won one of the last five games.
Statistics:Mainz are still waiting for their first Bundesliga win in Bielefeld, with only one draw in four games. Ostwestfalen are still without a win in five home games this season.
Personal: Vasiliadis is missing from the hosts, Mainz is planning to start with Niakhaté, who has returned. Both coaches should make changes this English week.
Special: Both teams faced each other in the DFB Cup on Tuesday and had to go into extra time. Mainz prevailed 3-2.
Eintracht Frankfurt – RB Leipzig (Saturday, 6.30 p.m.)
Situation: Frankfurt hopes for the turnaround and the second win of the season. Most recently the table 15 lost. two games. The sixth from Leipzig has been unbeaten in five league games.
Statistics: RB Leipzig could not win any of the six competitive games at Eintracht so far. At no other club did the Saxons compete so often without winning a single time.
Personal: Eintracht has to do without striker Paciência, captain Rode and Lenz; the use of midfielder Jakic is questionable. The Saxons are missing Klostermann, Halstenberg and Saracchi as well as Brobbey and Laimer. Olmo has reported back.
Special: Eintracht coach Glasner could not win any of the six competitive games against Leipzig with his ex-club VfL Wolfsburg. He did not play so many games as a coach against any other team and was always unsuccessful.
FC Augsburg – VfB Stuttgart (Sunday, 3.30 p.m.)
Situation: The FCA must finally stop its crash after just one point from four games. On the other hand, VfB without a win away from home has not been defeated for four games.
Statistics: Weinzierl’s record against Stuttgart is correct. The Augsburg coach won seven of his nine Bundesliga games against VfB.
Personal: The FCA fears about offensive player Sarenren Bazee and left-back Iago (both injured), Stuttgart has to do without regular goalkeeper Müller and attacker Marmoush.
Special: Weinzierl can win the 50th Bundesliga victory as Augsburg coach against his former club. After a 6-0 draw against FCA, he had to leave VfB on April 20, 2019. On May 7, 2021 he made his comeback at FCA – with a 1: 2 against VfB.
Borussia Mönchengladbach – VfL Bochum (Sunday, 5.30 p.m.)
Situation: Both teams gained confidence in the cup, especially Borussia in the internationally acclaimed 5-0 win against Bayern. The Gladbachers have to win again in the league. Eleven points from nine games so far are not enough.
Statistics: Most recently, both teams played against each other in relegation a good ten years ago. Before that, VfL had often been able to annoy the Gladbachers. Overall, the statistics are almost balanced. “That was a long time ago,” said Bochum’s coach Reis.
Personal: Gladbach coach Hütter has to change at least once: Defender Beyer was seriously injured against Bayern. More players could get a break. Bochum should also rotate after the cup win against Augsburg.
Special: Gladbach sports director Eberl once played for Bochum in the 1st and 2nd league in the mid-1990s. “The connection is there,” said Eberl. «I think their development is impressive. You play good football and deserved promotion. ”
