The 108 million euros allocated to Bulgaria cannot be used for this purpose, said EC spokeswoman Natasha Berto, when asked in Brussels by journalist Georgi Gotev.
According to her, the money will go to manage border control and to build reception centers for migrants. It is not clear whether they will accommodate migrants returned from Western Europe to the first receiving country, which is Bulgaria.
