Another character who follows this idea is Julie James I know what you did last summer, which is not surprising since both films were written by Kevin Williamson. The cliché of these characters lies in their ability to deal with their fears and antagonists in a way that shows that they have regained control.

Agent J is a cliche character Will Smith played in the series Men in blackand a version of the type of character that Smith often played in the 1990s. The smooth and know-it-all agent, police officer, military pilot, etc., are the foundation of Will Smith’s character in every 1990s film, including the unpopular Wild Wild West, in which Smith perhaps has adopted the cliché type of character too often for the audience.

Due to the difference in the energies of this particular character and the hero of the story, there can be a sense of balance between these characters. The vivid character brings a sense of fun to the hero’s main quest, while still allowing him to remain “tough”.

In She is all that, a classic teen romantic comedy of the 1990s, Laney Boggs is the stereotypical nerd who has never been hooked by her classmates.
