CR7 gave his adviser an ultimatum
That’s why there was a bang between Ronaldo and Mendes
After almost two decades, Cristiano Ronaldo (37) separated from his agent Jorge Mendes (57). The reason is said to have been the Portuguese’s controversial TV interview – but apparently not only.

A picture of the past: Cristiano Ronaldo (left) and star consultant Jorge Mendes no longer work together.
Cristiano Ronaldo (37) collects 175 million euros at Al-Nassr annually. An amazing transfer, which, however, was not bagged by his former star advisor Jorge Mendes.
Because the paths of the two parted in November after almost 20 years together. The Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” now reveals why this happened. Apparently, the five-time world footballer gave his actually good friend an ultimatum last summer: “Bayern or Chelsea – or we’ll break up.”
As is well known, the change to one of the two clubs did not materialize. This is because, according to “Dailymail”, both clubs were no longer interested in a commitment after his training strike to start preparations at Manchester United. According to the Spanish newspaper, Ronaldo was more of the opinion that Mendes had made too little effort to fulfill his wish.
Emotional break between CR7 and Mendes
Another reason for the bang was the interview with Piers Morgan, in which the 2016 European champion shot against ManUtd. Mendes was strictly against the conversation with the talk show host because he saw the English record champions as the only club for Ronaldo at the time and didn’t want to upset him.

As “El Mundo” continues to write, the break between the two happened on an emotional rather than a business level. The “paternal and family relationship” was therefore damaged. Ronaldo and Mendes were very close. The footballer was best man at Mendes’ wedding and even gave him a Greek island. The 57-year-old is in turn Götti from Cristiano Jr. (12).
Finally, Ricky Regufe made the move to the desert. The 43-year-old Portuguese has also been a close companion and good friend of the footballer for around 20 years. The two met in 2003 when Regufe worked for the sports goods manufacturer Nike and signed the then 16-year-old Ronaldo as PR manager. (che)
