Often downgraded to a Robin Jordan role, Scottie Pippen was one of the best NBA players of his time. One of his former teammates joined the propaganda in his favor, imagining him dominating in the current league.
For some observers, the game of comparisons between the different eras of the NBA has no interest. The evolution of the game would make this process futile, and the claims made in this context would be nothing more than the fruit of the imagination of their authors. The same is true for the transposition of former players into the contemporary league.
The latter mechanism, if it has no scientific value to speak of, is sometimes simply used to extol the merits of former glory. This, by its complete arsenal or adapted to the current game, would thus have its place in a franchise nowadays. It is in this sense that Steve Kerr referred to the case of Scottie Pippen in The Lowe Post.

Scottie was an incredible basketball player, and I think he is still underdog these days. He would have been so good in the current game, untenable. He could have defended on five positions in each game. There is not a single 5 position in the contemporary league that he could not score, and not a single point guard on which he could not defend on pick and roll.
He would be able to stand in front of them and use his arms. Access to the circles would allow him to enhance his skills as a smuggler. Scottie was a brilliant basketball player.
Despite his status as a luxury lieutenant, Pippen has shown that he is capable of dominating in an era that is very competitive. During the two seasons in which he served as the Bulls’ leader, between 1993 and 1995, he thus turned to 21.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists on average. These figures are in line with the words of Steve Kerr, who was able to attest very closely to the talent of his teammate.
If Scottie Pippen intends one day to aspire to a place in the White House, his campaign manager is all found. Steve Kerr remains a team guy, and will defend tooth and nail his former co-leader at the Bulls.
