‘That’s why I said it on Twitter’ – Marseille News

The Twitter troll who told Paul Felder to stick to his comments rather than keep fighting has again targeted the UFC man.

Felder, who was moved after failing in New Zealand against Dan Hooker in 2020, had suggested he would leave the UFC. The struggle to be away from his family and the close losses were starting to add up and he objected to a fan telling him to hang up his gloves.

The Twitter user explained why he would never do such a thing to Felder’s face in a very honest thread.

Asked by Felder if he would be brave enough to tell him his feelings face to face, the response was as honest as it got, which left the American at a loss for his words.

Felder announced his retirement from competition in the Octagon at the age of 37 at UFC Vegas 27 in which he was a part of the broadcast team and the fan wanted to tell the world he was right from the beginning.

Never change, fight the fans. Never changes.
Felder, however, has revealed more details about his decision to take time out of his career.

“I really waited to find out,” he said at the post-fight press conference.

“After the [Dan] Bitch fight, it was pretty emotional and I lost the fight and I’m away from home and it was a fight. But then I found that fire again when I had the [Rafael dos Anjos] combat.

“I went back and did camps and I was helping Sean Brady get ready for the fights and I was hitting pads, I was lifting again, I was doing all of these things and just slowly over time I started to drift into my own things and really love just doing this triathlon thing on my own, having time, seeing my daughter every day after school, dropping her off at school. Train in my own little pain cave at home in the garage and get things done.

“I don’t think I’m going to reach the belt. I think this is the first time that I have finally really thought about after these two consecutive losses, watching guys like ‘Jacare’ [Souza] break your arm, watch guys like ‘Cowboy’ [Cerrone] fight five more fights than I think they should. I won’t be that guy.

“I’ve said it from the very beginning of this sport, I’m not going to be that guy who will fight after his expiration date and I think it’s here. I think it’s a bit early, but I prefer it to be a bit early rather than late.
