Krefeld The coach of VfR Fischeln complains about the refereeing after the 3-1 defeat in the round of 16 of the Niederheinpokal against the Bundesliga club Rot-Weiss Essen. His team stood up to the favorite well.
The A-Juniors of VfR Fischeln pulled themselves out of the affair in the round of 16 of the Lower Rhine Cup against the opponents Rot-Weiss Essen, who were only overwhelming on paper. The fact that the Bundesliga team was 3-1 (2-0) ahead and progressed one round as expected is only a side issue in this context. Annoying for the Kockel team that the referee Solomon Anderson (Süchteln) always decided in case of doubt, and his linesman decided against his boys in two cases. “Today we advertised Fischeln youth football. It’s a shame that the game was decided by people over whom we have no control. I’m very sorry for the team because they didn’t deserve it,” Kockel was visibly pissed off long after the argument, who had already lamented the loss of his goalscorer Maciej Jan Herod (Corona) before the kick-off.

By the way, VfR co-trainer Steffen Jelitto, in his fourth year with Kockel, was eliminated once in the quarter-finals of the cup, i.e. one round further on. The 53-year-old headmaster was still the coach of the B-Juniors at TV Rumeln and lost to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
