Jim Parsons (51) presents a new look. For years, The Big Bang Theory actor was only known with a clean-shaven face. On the red carpet of the CFDA Fashion Awards, the actor surprised his fans with a bushy beard. In conversation with ET he reveals: “Long story short: I had a conversation with my hairdresser. I said, ‘You always have a beard,’ and he said, ‘I just have a weak chin.'” He then wanted to try out for himself whether a beard could flatter his face.
The actor is currently appearing in the Broadway play “Our Town” with the beard. Alongside Katie Holmes (45) and Zoey Deutch (29), Jim embodies the narrator. “It was an incredible experience. […] I have never worked on a more beautiful piece in my entire life.”enthused the Hollywood star as a guest a few weeks ago “Today”. The 51-year-old also gets along fantastically with his colleagues: “We have really become a close-knit group that feels like a real community.”
Through his time on “The Big Bang Theory,” Jim still has a large fan base to this day. In May, he surprised viewers with a guest appearance in the final episode of the spin-off Young Sheldon. A Bildthe Us Weekly is available, shows him together with Mayim Bialik (48) on the set of the show. The photo reassured fans because it shows that the series characters Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler will still be happily married in the future.
