“That’s Protocol,” Says Sri Mulyani Alphard in Defense of Entering the Airport Apron.

Jakarta

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati explained about his Alphard car that entered the Soekarno-Hatta Airport apron. He argued that this was a protocol obtained from Angkasa Pura and the Directorate of Customs and Excise.

As is known, recently viral on social media, an official Toyota Alphard car entered the apron of Soekarno Hatta Airport. It is known, the car is the official car of Sri Mulyani.

“First, it is the protocol that has been given to me,” Sri Mulyani told reporters at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Monday (27/3/2023).

Sri Mulyani said that at that time it coincided with her visiting the office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. On that occasion, Sri Mulyani usually checks whether DGCE has just caught hold of goods or something else.

“When I’m in Cengkareng, I usually deliberately go to the customs office to simultaneously ask how the men are doing today. They can also tell whether they have just caught hold of goods and so on,” he said.

The woman who is familiarly called Ani also explained that she often visited the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) office at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“As a leader, I usually and have my office there to be able to communicate, discuss with them so that when you enter the airport you still follow the airport protocol,” he said.

If it’s different, maybe others don’t do it because they have their own place, if I am because customs are under the Ministry of Finance, so I do it at once, which is an opportunity for me to discuss, check, chat with the head of the regional office what is being done,” he added.

As previously known, viral photos on social media Sri Mulyani get off Alphard on the Soekarno-Hatta Airport apron. PT Angkasa Pura II spoke about the viral photo showing a Toyota Alphard car and a Customs car on the airport apron.

PT Angkasa Pura II said that this condition occurred because there were VIP handling protocol activities carried out by the airport agency.

“PT Angkasa Pura II said that under certain conditions and according to procedures (SOPs) that apply between agencies, there are protocol activities in handling VIPs carried out by related agencies at airports managed by the company,” said SM of Branch Communication and Legal Airport Soekarno-Hatta, M Holik Muard in his written press statement, Sunday (26/3/2023).
