That’s how corona safe it is on the set of the new ‘Night Watch’ movie. “Even after an infection we could continue to film” | Movie

The Ketnet series ‘Night Watch’ has been running for six years now and is a huge success with children. This fall, the third film, ‘The Day of the Blood Moon’, will play in the cinema and the recordings are currently in full swing. Although the approach is still the same – a werewolf, vampire and elf live together among people and experience all kinds of adventures – the shooting did not go as usual. And that even started before the recordings, because the new normal requires an adapted scenario. “In the script we had to take the current situation into account,” says Sofie Buytaert (44), producer at Studio 100. “For example, we created mini bubbles for the actors, so that they do not always come into contact with other people. . ” This also confirms Nora Gharib (27) who plays the role of Rhea the werewolf for this film. “And a large part of the recordings take place outside, on the one hand because it just fits into the scenes, but also because it is a bit more corona safe. Sometimes it can be cold, but luckily we will soon be filming a scene with a campfire. That will undoubtedly make it a bit more pleasant ”, she smiles.
