Well before the official unveiling of the PlayStation 5, there were already photo’s of the development kit – the machine on which studios actually develop their games – around the internet, and we could already see that it is quite a large unit.
Now that the PlayStation 5 has been released and the specifications and designs are no longer a secret, it is nice to see how big such a dev kit actually is. Wellgamer16 therefore placed on Twitter some photos and dimensions of a unit, which in no way resembles the final version.
The fact that the development kit is larger than the ‘real’ PlayStation 5 is because such a machine often has to perform other tasks besides playing games. Do you like the design of the development kit, or do you prefer the retail version?
