The Bulgarian ensemble won the gold medal in the all-around at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia. The graces of Vessela Dimitrova – Simona Dyankova, Laura Traats, Madeleine Radukanova, Stefani Kiryakova and Erika Zafirova, received a score of 40,200 points for the mixed combination with three hoops and two pairs of bats.
Our ensemble set a record yesterday with their performance with five balls. For him, our graces were evaluated with 44,150 points. This is the highest grade ever awarded in the world of rhythmic gymnastics. Thus, with a total of 84,350 points, the Bulgarians left no doubt about their superiority and deservedly rejoice with the gold in the “Arena Armeec” hall.
The alumni of Vessela Dimitrova showed for the first time their new combination with three hoops and two pairs of bats against the background of music from “Spartak” by Aram Khachaturian. Beautiful new tricks were prepared for the premiere of the composition.

In second place is the ensemble of Azerbaijan with a total of 70,950, and third is Japan (70,650 points).
Thus, Bulgaria won the gold in the all-around with a total of 84,350 points and qualified for the two finals of the individual events tomorrow with the first strengths.
Earlier today, Boryana Kalein earned silver in the individual all-around, and Catherine Taseva ranked fifth. Thus, at the finals of the individual devices on Sunday we will see a solid Bulgarian presence.
Kalein will fight for medals in the finals of all four devices, and Taseva in those in ball and bats. Our ensemble will chase two new gold medals in the finals of five balls and three hoops with two pairs of bats.
