Jude Bellingham is on cloud nine after reaching the Champions League final with Real Madrid. The 20-year-old midfielder still has one more hurdle to overcome to lift the cup with the big ears in his first season as a Madridista. To achieve that, he will have to torture his old love Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham has often been the center of attention at Real Madrid this season, but on Wednesday evening it was a colleague who demanded all the attention. Joselu came on about ten minutes before the end and turned the game around. ‘It’s happened so many times this season. We seemed dead and buried, but there is always someone to score the goal. Now it’s Joselu, what a man. He really won’t sleep tonight. What a teammate,” the exuberant Englishman begins at TNT Sports.
Final against Dortmund
According to Bellingham, Real fans also play a significant role in turning games around. On the other hand, they demand achievements, such as winning the fifteenth Champions League. That has to happen against Dortmund, Bellingham’s old club that he left last summer for more than a hundred million euros to play at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
“We’ll just play Dortmund at Wembley, which will be very strange,” Bellingham admits. The Englishman is anything but dreading it. ‘I’m really looking forward to that match. At this point in the competition, everyone who is there deserves to be there. It’s just not cherry pick. They just deserve it, hopefully it will be a great match.’
Nerves
Due to his elegant and calm way of moving, it often seems as if Bellingham is never nervous during matches.
