That was the weekend in Lower Franconia

The weekend in Lower Franconia had a lot to offer again. And finally the weather played along too. Perfect framework conditions on the penultimate weekend of the summer vacation. At the cabaret summer, the Umsonst & Draussen or the post-summer festival in Schweinfurt, many people enjoyed the corona rules in Bavaria that were relaxed before the weekend.

Three reporters were out and about at various events over the weekend and described their experiences.

Most of the visitors were certainly attracted by the free & outdoors on the Mainwiesen in Würzburg. Our photographers were out and about on the festival grounds from Thursday to Sunday and took one or two snapshots.

In addition to festivals, cabaret and culture, there were also other highlights. The Franken Classic classic car rally took place in the Main-Spessart district. Even a car that was built in 1928 rolled through the whole of Lower Franconia at the weekend. Because in addition to Main-Spessart, the route also led through Bad Kissingen, partly the district of Würzburg and even to Upper Franconia.

Free & outdoors inspires the guests

When four days of beautiful late summer weather, good live music and Corona easing meet, then not much can go wrong. No wonder that visitors, artists and organizers of the Free & Draussen Festival were consistently satisfied and happy. Under the new 3G conditions, a good 10,000 people came to the Mainwiesen over the four days.

Franken-Classic also in Gerolzhofen

Classic car fans – both the drivers and co-drivers as well as the admirers on the roadside – got their money’s worth on Sunday: In the early afternoon, the participants of this year’s “Franken-Classic” drove through the Gerolzhöfer city center on the third day of the event, after they had previously had completed a special test on the kart track.

Late summer in Schweinfurt: Jan Josef Liefers in top form

Jan Josef Liefers was clearly in a good mood. No wonder: the sky was blue, the evening sun was shining brightly, the good 400 visitors to the Kessler Field in front of the open-air stage were in a great mood. And they went home in a great mood, because it was a concert that will be remembered. Because Jan Josef Liefers is not only a charmer and human catcher, but also a good musician and actor. And because his band Radio Doria weaves a musical carpet that is second to none.

Cabaret summer with Günter Grünwald in Volkach

Around 700 people visit the “Volkacher Cabaret Summer” on Saturday (04.09.21) on the Weinfestplatz in Volkach. With his program ?? Definitely maybe ?? the cabaret artist Günter Grünwald made the evening entertaining and entertaining.
