Tesla sales do not appear to be stagnating at first. According to the latest registration figures, updated up to and including 23 May, the American electric car manufacturer is in sixth place in the brand statistics here at home.
The entry-level model, Model 3, pulls most of the load. Reduced price, long range and low interest rates are some of the reasons for this.
But soon there is more news on the way. For Norway, there are initially three that will be important: The compact little brother of the SUV Model X – called Model Y – and new generations of already well-established Model S and Model X.
However, you have to be patient if you want one of these cars. You have to apply an extra amount if you want the new and, to put it mildly, groundbreaking family car Model S Plaid +.
First out is Y. It is also the most interesting, if we have sales volume as a starting point. A cross between Model 3 and Model X is a recipe that hits many in the middle of nowhere: Suitably large, decent ground clearance and SUV-like body, a lot of technology – and long range.
There are two variants: Long Range and Performance. The former has a range of 505 kilometers (WLTP), does 0-100 km / h in 5.1 seconds and costs from 535,000 kroner
The Performance model has 21 “rims, better brakes, lowered body, does 0-100 km / h in extreme 3.7 seconds, has a range of 480 kilometers and a starting price of 590,000 kroner.
