After his contract was terminated, Max Kruse was looking for a new club. The 32-year-old showed up in Stuttgart yesterday. A change to VfB Stuttgart is not an issue.
Former striker Max Kruse yesterday caused a stir with a visit to the second division soccer team VfB Stuttgart on Thursday afternoon. The 32-year-old posted a video on social networks showing how he drives up to the Swabian office in Bad Cannstatt.
Kruse dissolves in the evening
Speculation immediately began among fans about a possible move of the attacker to Stuttgart. VfB did not want to comment on dpa demand. However, Kruse’s commitment is not an issue – as Kruse dissolved in the evening.
The campaign was a PR stunt to draw attention to a project by the non-profit organization Viva con Aqua, which is committed to worldwide access to clean drinking water, Kruse explained on his Instagram account. The 32-year-old claims to be the main sponsor of an art exhibition by the association, which should open in Stuttgart on Friday.
The long-time Bundesliga striker, who played for Freiburg, Mönchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Bremen, among others, recently canceled his contract with the Turkish club Fenerbahce Istanbul and is free of charge this summer.
