“That Child Has Turned Me Into a Tenderhearted Person,” says Herman Brusselmans about Son Roman.

BVHerman Brusselmans (65) was a guest in ‘The table of four’ on Tuesday evening. There he told how his son Roman is doing and how he experiences fatherhood. And there is also a move in the pipeline. “I’m probably going to cry for the first time in years when I pull that door behind me.”

Herman Brusselmans came directly from Kind en Gezin, he told presenter Gert Verhulst. “We have now done the hearing test, and it was perfectly fine,” it said. “His weight is okay, his height is okay. And tomorrow he will be three weeks old.” Roman has now also strengthened considerably, said a proud Herman. “He weighed 2.8 kg, now he already weighs 3.2 kg.”

Softie

Brusselmans enjoys fatherhood to the fullest, he said in ‘The table of four’. “I think it is fantastic. If your girlfriend is pregnant, you still have doubts. What’s that going to be? But I haven’t been outside in three weeks. I keep staring at that little one. I’m having fun with it, it’s such a nice bazeke. I’m really in love with that guy,” he continued. “I’ve become a softie because of that kid.”

Roman is doing very well. “He likes to eat and a lot, he likes to poop and a lot and he likes to sleep and a lot. He also yells occasionally. I never expected it, because when I used to hear a little one screaming, I hated it. Now I think it’s music.” The relationship with his girlfriend Lena has also become stronger due to the birth, he said. “You get closer with each other,” it sounded. “You know for sure that you will stay connected forever, even if you break up. Lena did a great job by the way. She didn’t even want an epidural, because she said: ‘ It doesn’t hurt that much either.’ After giving birth to the child, I find her even more attractive than before.” By the way, there will not be a brother or sister for Roman. “If there is a second child in five years or so, I will be 70. That is too old.”

Move

Another change is planned for the Brusselmans family. They’re moving. “We now live in a loft with only one bedroom,” it sounded. “I bought it 23 years ago, now a second bedroom is needed. A renovation is not possible, so we bought a house. I’m not there happy with that, because I love living where I live now. I’m probably going to cry for the first time in years when I pull the door behind me.”
