That brings 2021 for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan

January 06, 2021 – 11:48 am Clock

On the way to the $ 10 billion pair

Duchess Meghan (39) and Prince Harry (36) used the year 2020 to break away from the royal family. They have not been in the service of Queen Elizabeth II since spring (94). In addition, the two now live with their son Archie (1) in Montecito, California, where they bought a property that is said to cost the equivalent of around 12.35 million euros. You don’t have to worry about finances either: In 2021, revenue will be gushing. And Meghan and Harry have a lot more to celebrate in the coming months …

Your jobs

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan could make it to the “10 billion dollar couple”, as an expert for “Newsweek” estimated. The basis for this are their multi-year Netflix and Spotify deals, of which we are sure to hear and see something in 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex publish podcasts for Spotify through the production company Archewell. This deal brings them an estimated $ 35 to $ 75 million. It all started at the end of December with a podcast in which they let celebrities like Elton John (73) have their say. Archie was also briefly heard by the fans.

In addition, there is a contract for several years with the streaming service Netflix, which should be worth up to 150 million dollars (approx. 122 million euros). And the Sussexes are in demand: Many more deals – including appearances as spokespersons for large companies – could follow. The two can supposedly earn up to 800,000 euros per appearance.

Charitable work

Harry and Meghan will certainly also draw attention to themselves through charitable work in 2021. They have just announced the first project of their non-profit Archewell Foundation: together with “World Central Kitchen”, aid centers are being set up to provide people in disaster areas with food. According to “Bloomberg”, the first of the four planned centers will be built in Dominica, an island nation in the Caribbean. The opening is scheduled for the beginning of 2021. The second will be in Puerto Rico. The other two locations were not disclosed.

Since they moved to California, the two have also volunteered in the Los Angeles area. Among other things, they helped with the distribution of meals or visited an organization that supports people who had previously been imprisoned. In addition, Meghan and Harry repeatedly delivered video messages to charities during the Corona crisis.

The couple will certainly continue to be socially committed in 2021. This should even include its own award ceremony. According to the Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to reward people, charities and companies who are committed to areas that are important to Harry and Meghan. This includes: “Charitable work, education, science, literature, the fight against racism, equal rights, ecological responsibility, promoting youth, physical and mental health”. The awards are said to be awarded through the Archewell Foundation.

Negotiations on the Megxit deal

The patrons and the charitable work that Meghan and Harry received during their time as senior royals can continue until March 31, 2021. After that, that should also be over. The two would obviously like to continue their work – for a whole year. As “The Sun” reported, there will be a meeting of the British royals – probably held online – in January, in which Harry and Meghan will ask to extend the previously concluded deal by one year. Harry should also hope that he will get his honorary military posts back, which he lost through the “Megxit”. The Netflix deal is also said to be discussed.

Return to Harry’s home?

The couple are also expected back in Great Britain next summer to unveil a statue of Princess Diana (1961-1997) in the gardens with Harry’s brother Prince William (38) and his wife Duchess Kate (38) on July 1st of the Kensington Palace. William and Harry’s mother would have turned 60 on July 1st. A joint appearance in memory of Diana could certainly also help to dispel rumors that the famous pair of brothers was falling out. And the Queen might be able to hug her great-grandson Archie again.

The process

Duchess Meghan will probably have to travel to London again by the end of 2021 at the latest. The lawsuit she is conducting against Associated Newspapers Ltd, the publisher of “Mail on Sunday”, has been postponed to autumn 2021. She is suing the media company for copyright infringement, among other things. The “Mail on Sunday” had published an article in which excerpts were reproduced from a handwritten letter Meghan had sent to her father Thomas Markle (76). Meghan could have to testify in court. And her father may also appear as a witness. And it is well known that it is always good for a negative surprise …

The celebrations

Fans of Meghan and Harry are certainly looking forward to May 6th. Then little Archie will be two years old and his parents will probably publish new recordings of him. Another big celebration should be on August 4th: Duchess Meghan will be 40 years old. Will there be a big Hollywood party in California then?
