Tharoor ridicules the withdrawal of Valentine’s Day circular

Thiruvananthapuram – MP Shashi Tharoor mocked the central government after withdrawing the circular to celebrate Valentine’s Day as ‘Pasu Alingana’ day. Tharoor mocked BJP through Twitter.

It seems that Hindu nationalists heard ‘Let Them Hug the Guy’ on Valentine’s Day. Tharoor sarcastically says that the misunderstanding may be the reason for issuing such a statement.

The circular was withdrawn the very next day after Union Minister Purushottam Rupala said on February 14 that it would be good to hug the cow as per the directive. This is the first time that a circular has come out from the Animal Protection Department regarding the suggestion to cow lovers in the country to hug the cow. Following this proposal, there was severe criticism against the government in the social media.
