‘Thariyode’, directed by Nirmal Baby Varghese, has been selected as the Best Documentary Film at the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival in New York. The film, which deals with the history of gold mining in Wayanad, was previously selected for the Koshitouse International Monthly Film Festival in Slovakia, Europe and was a finalist in the Best Trailer category.

The film won the award for Best Documentary Director at the Seventh Art Independent International Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram. The film was also selected for the Lift of Global Network Sessions in England, the Standalone Film Festival and Awards in Los Angeles and the Reels International Film Festival in Maharashtra.
