Cyclists in Angers (Maine-et-Loire) can now stop in the middle of the road to repair their bikes or inflate their tires again. Fourteen bicycle inflation and / or repair terminals have recently been set up. The first of these was inaugurated on Saturday 15 October, he reports Western France.
40,000 euros of investment
“We wanted to install them in the places where we stop and others where we walk, which are more places of passage”, indicated Karine Engel, the municipal assistant responsible for citizenship. The installation of these terminals, decided within the participatory budget, required an investment of 40,000 euros.
These are available on Place de la Fraternité, Place François-Mitterrand, Boulevard des Deux-Croix, Place des Justices, Rue Eugénie-Mansion, Rue du Général-Lizé, Allée des Baladins and on the forecourt of Saint-Laud station. The terminals will also be used by the association ” Place for the bike which will provide bicycle repair training.
