44 young people from Maupiti leaving for the United States to participate in the Taste of Tahiti festival. A first for a group on the island. To do this, they worked hard to make and sell coconut breads! This week, they were fully booked for rehearsals for their show in Papeete.

Their dream is within wing reach. Their flight will last 8 hours before landing in the United States. But before that, last night 44 young people from Maupiti rehearsed for the last time the spectacle of songs and dances that they will present to the Americans.
A spectacle and a journey made possible after more than a year of making coconut breads and selling them. Their hands kneaded, their steps danced last night.

They are determined to share the art rush with the people of America. “It’s a dream to go dancing abroad, a happiness”, said a young participant, “it’s good to share our culture elsewhere”.
Their conquest of the west will go smoothly, only through song and dance. Thank you coconut breads!
