More than 7,300 elderly citizens over the age of 65 live in Dunakeszin, who are surprised every year by the city government with a gift package containing goodies and charming drawings made by kindergarten children.
Deputy Mayor Dávid Sipos, the head of the Dunakeszi Program Office, thanked the help of the more than 600 students on his social media page yesterday – including the small community managed by Zsófia Kundlya, the municipal representative responsible for public relations – who went door-to-door to deliver the municipality’s Christmas gift package to the over 65s in Dunakes for residents.
Every year, many people participate in the organizing and preparatory work coordinated by the Dunakeszi Program Office, from students to enthusiastic teachers and even members of the retired hiking club, who are very grateful to the municipality for their selfless help.
In addition to his thanks, the deputy mayor also wrote that “85% of the 7,300 recipients were able to receive the package in person, and the others can pick up the package at the Customer Service of the Mayor’s office from Monday.”
