Thanks to Halle, the Herner EV regained second place

Reading time: approx. 3 minutes

Once again, things went well in the first chasing group of the Hannover Scorpions, who confidently lead the Oberliga Nord. The Crocodiles Hamburg, which climbed to second place on Friday, fell back to fourth place after the defeat in Halle. Herne and won and was lucky that the Tilburg team could not convert a clear lead over Leipzig into a victory.

Herford, who is toying with eighth place, suffered a setback against Hamm, while the polar bears did something for their morale with their success in Westphalia.

Tilburg Trappers – Icefighters Leipzig 4: 3 (3: 0, 0: 1, 0: 2, 1: 0) nV

The Tilburg team had to realize on Sunday that a 3-0 lead against the Icefighters Leipzig is not enough to win. After 20 minutes it didn’t look like Leipzig would win a point. Diego Hofland (8th), Danny Stempher (13th) and Raymond van der Schuit (17th) scored for the superior Trappers, who perhaps approached the second third too carelessly. Leon Lilik (26th) shortened, but Tilburg didn’t take the game development seriously. In the third third, the Tilburg team took command again, but could not overcome the strong Eric Hoffmann in the Leipziger Tor. This task was taken over by the Icefighters, who were equalized by Michal Velecky (44th) and Marvin Miethke (56th). After the 3: 3, however, events escalated. Goal scorer Marvin Miethke got a fiver plus playing time because of the official pulling away of his feet and because the Leipziger Bank was not at all amused by this decision by referee Ramon Sterkens, the bank also got a playing time. Although the Dutch are now playing a double superiority game that they could not take advantage of. When Eichelkraut (Leipzig) made a foul in the 65th minute, Giovanni Vogelaar made it 4: 3.

Herford EV – Hammer Eisbären 3: 4 (0: 2, 1: 0, 2: 1, 1: 0) nP

That was a surprise for the hosts, but not a positive one. The Hammer Eisbären, who urgently need points, took the lead 2-0 in the first third thanks to Kevin Orendorz (6th) and Henry Hoffmann (20th). From the second third, the Herford team took over the command, but could not prevail decisively. Only Matyas Kovacs (36th) overcame Sebastian May. When Lars Bödefeld (45th) scored the 2-2, everything seemed to be heading towards a Herford victory, but the hammer Gianluca Balla (53rd) shocked the HEV with the 3-2. In the 59th minute, Lars Bödefeld equalized again for Herford. Nothing happened in extra time and so it went into the penalty shootout, where the polar bears, thanks to Gianluca Balla, knew the better end for themselves.

Herner EV – Krefelder EV U23 8: 1 (0: 0, 2: 1, 6: 0)

Although the Hernians were able to win clearly in the end, but the Krefeld were never seven goals worse than the result suggests. The KEV was stronger, but couldn’t use its superiority. 53 shots on goal were counted at the end, but the guests were only allowed to cheer once. Marcel Mahkovec defeated Hernes keeper Jonas Neffin in the 30th minute. The Herner met in the first two thirds through Nico Kolb (24th) and Patrick Asselin (26th). The third third is curious. Krefeld was still a tough nut to crack, got 21:14 shots on goal, but conceded six goals, so that in the end the 8: 1 was too high. The goals of the Herner marked Rene Behrens (42nd), Colton Kehler (45th), Marcus Marsall (46th, 54th), Nico Kolb (50th) and Dominik Piskor (55th).

Saale Bulls Halle – Crocodiles Hamburg 5: 2 (1: 0, 2: 0, 2: 2)

In an exciting game, the Bulls deserved to prevail because, unlike the Hamburgers, they used their scoring chances more efficiently and were clearly better in power play. After 40 minutes the people of Halle led 3-0 after goals from Lukas Valasek (13th, 38th) and Kyle Helms (36th). After Kyle Helms’ 4-0 (42nd), Hamburg got better into the game, but after Dominik Lascheit’s 4-1 (49th), the Crocodiles simply needed too long to score the second goal. Thomas Zuravlev (57th) scored the 2: 4, before Tatu Vihavainen (59th) finally made the points for Halle clear with the 5: 2.

Hannover Scorpions – EG Diez-Limburg 13: 3 (6: 0, 3: 1, 4: 2)

Diezer, who surprised with a victory over Herne on Friday, were brought back down to earth on Sunday in Mellendorf rather roughly. The EGDL had no chance against a table leader in a playing mood and suffered a clear 3:13 defeat. When David Lademann scored the first goal for Diezer in the 39th minute, it was already 8-0 for the Scorpions. The goals until then had Patrick Schmid (1st), Mike Glemser (8th), Dennis Arnold (12th, 37th, 37th), Tomi Wilenius (13th), Roman Pfennings (15th) and Julian Airich (16th) .) achieved. After the 8: 1, Fedor Kolupaylo (40th) and Roman Pfennings (41st, 50th), Tomi Wilenius (56th) and Robin Marek (58th) met. Henry Wellhausen (56th) and Niklas Hildebrand (58th) scored the two goals in Diez.
