Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now on the brink after a string of poor results, will Zidane come and kick him out?
Manchester United contacted Zinedine Zidane during the international break to inquire about his willingness to become manager on the recommendation of Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports in Spanish media.
The Red Devils are increasingly left behind in the race for the English Premier League title after being brushed by Leicester City 2-1 on Saturday (16/6), and the manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is increasingly on the edge.
The team’s form appears to have regressed despite spending €140 million on the signings of Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, and United are now reportedly looking to sign Zidane to change their fortunes.

According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, United have contacted Zidane to discuss the possibility of replacing Solskjaer.
To El Chiringuito TV, he said: “Zidane can get the team he wants. It’s an option that arose during the international break.”
“I already said that Paris Saint-Germain approached him, they always wanted him,” added Inda.
“Newcastle United wanted him too, but in the international break, he was contacted by Manchester United to replace Solskjaer.”
“The person who supported him and recommended him to the board was Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Zidane reportedly turned down United, as he was waiting for a job opening for the French national team.
However, Didier Deschamps is predicted to handle Blues at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, so the former Real Madrid manager seemed to have a long wait.
