In Saxon Switzerland, firefighters continue to battle the largest forest fires the state of Saxony has ever experienced. Dynamo Dresden fans yesterday paid their respects to everyone helping to fight the fire.
“Thanks to all firefighters in Dynamoland Saxon Switzerland & pays them the greatest respect”, was written in capital letters in front of the K-Block and in front of the west stand of the Rudolf Harbig Stadium. “Fire-fighting crews are the heroes of these days – they deserve thanks without question!” was written on another banner of the Dynamo fans in the K-Block.
Dynamo Dresden supported the message of their own fans and explained: “The SGD joins the message from K-Block Dynamo: Dynamo thanks all firefighters & volunteers for their efforts against the forest fires in ‘Dynamoland’ & in the Czech Republic. – Moc děkujeme všem hasičům a dobrovolníkům za jejich práci.”
In addition, the Dynamo fans got mobile yesterday with a banner for the upcoming away game at Hallesches FC: “Everyone by train to Halle! 9:03 a.m. DD-HBF!”. The SGD Supporters Bautzen also sent “greetings from Bautzen to prison”.
In the guest block, Commando Cannstatt from VfB Stuttgart criticized the fan-unfriendly kick-off time on early Friday evening: “Friday 6:00 p.m. – Des vomits!”. The VfB Ultras from the Schwaben Kompanie Stuttgart showed their friends from the Pfalz Inferno from Kaiserslautern a “From Lautern to Kosovo – 3rd Dynamo League!” poster, alluding to the relegation won by FCK in Dresden.
Dynamo fans heeded the K-Block’s call on Friday night and showed up in yellow at the Rudolf Harbig Stadium, which was packed with 22,644 fans but not sold out. For the intro, the large “Dynamo Dresden” block flag with the skyline of Dresden and the floodlit giraffes of the old stadium was unpacked again in the K block.
The block flag with the crossed-out DFB coat of arms was also used again in the K-Block. The Bundesliga club from Stuttgart narrowly won the game in Dresden 1-0. (Fascination Fan Curve, 07/30/2022)
