Jacques Damas, the CEO of Thalys, has apologized in an email to travelers for the problems experienced by the high-speed train in July. In several incidents, travelers had to wait hours, often in a sweltering train, before a solution was found. “Our organization was not strong enough to withstand the intensity and accumulation of disruptions,” he writes.
