Bola.com, Bangkok – The Football Federation of Thailand (FAT) officially fired Alexandre Polking as coach Thai national team on Wednesday (22/11/2023). The Brazilian coach was immediately replaced by Masatada Ishii.

Alexandre Polking was fired because he did not meet the targets given by FAT for the 2026 World Cup Qualification. Thai national team achieved one win and one loss in the two matches that have been played.

“Nuanphan Lamsam ‘Madam Pang’, manager of the War Elephant team, officially announced his separation from Mano Polking as head coach. After the results of the first 2 World Cup Qualification matches did not meet targets, Masatada Ishii was immediately appointed to act as his replacement,” read the official FAT statement.
