TGNF1 – SV Werder Bremen

2. Bundesliga, women:

TG lands first home win

With 25:19 (13:10) the TG Nürtingen won their game against SV Werder Bremen in front of around 450 spectators in the Theodor-Eisenlohr-Sporthalle. “Even the win against Lintfort gave us a boost. We have a good atmosphere in the team, it was simply a great performance, ”said TG coach Simon Hablizel, pleased about the two plus points and the balanced points account (7: 7) of his team.

The guests got into the game better and took a 4-2 lead. But the TGlers found their way into the game, caught up and moved away to 9: 5. “We wanted to push the opponent away from the goal, the girls did a great job,” said the Nürtingen trainer happily about the successful defensive work. Bremen often acted unfocused in the attack. “That was too easy,” annoyed coach Robert Nijdam. At 13:10, the teams said goodbye to the break. After the restart, the TG seamlessly continued their performance. Again and again, Kerstin Foth and Lea Schuhknecht – both the best throwers with six hits – met from the back room. Christine Hesel in the TG-Tor came up with a very strong quota of 40 percent held balls. In the last 20 minutes, the TG then clearly set itself apart. The preliminary decision was made in the 52nd minute at 23:16. Lisa Wieder and Delia Cleve netted to a deserved 25:19 win.
