The evening rush hour was particularly annoying for the traffic on the highways around Den Bosch. For example, in the direction of Utrecht, two lanes on the A2 between Boxtel-Noord and the Kerkdriel exit were closed for a while on Friday afternoon. The whole road has long since been cleared, but as a result of an accident there was still a 12 kilometer traffic jam between Vught and the Kerkdriel exit at a quarter past six. The delay, which was an hour earlier in the day, is now over 20 minutes.
There was a long queue on the A59 between the Zonzeel and Raamsdonksveer junction, heading towards Den Bosch. The right lane was closed for some time due to a broken down lorry. There was only extra travel time on this motorway earlier in the evening (by 7 minutes), as there was a 4km traffic jam between the Dussen exit and the Hooipolder junction heading towards the Zonzeel junction.
Other highways in Brabant were also heavily trafficked, partly due to bad weather, such as the A58. There, too, things were not bad at half past six: between Oirschot and Moergestel alone there was a 7-kilometer traffic jam in the direction of Tilburg.
