Textiles d’Avenir: A Sustainable and Inclusive Textile Production Workshop

After the launch of the Institut de formation aux textiles du monde (IFTM), last November in Reims, its creators, stylist Ousmane Ouedraogo and François H. de Beaulieu are continuing their project with the opening of Textiles d’Avenir .

Installed in the city center, at 2, rue du Commerce, it is in fact a reasoned textile production workshop which is in line with the IFTM, that is to say with the same commitment to eco-socio-responsible textiles and the same values of inclusion in its recruitment. “Six versatile operators will be welcomed from the start, including statutory migrants and people with disabilities, bringing the workforce to 9 people then to 11 at the start of the school year”, specify the two founders.

This new structure is aimed at several markets: from independent designers wishing to create a collection or to prepare a fashion show, to medium-sized brands with a qualitative positioning which today manufacture mainly outside France. Textiles d’avenir thus promises “unique know-how”. Finally, the workshop will also make its own line, under the direction of Ousmane Ouedraogo.
