City of Darmstadt calls on the federal police to check the stricter exit restrictions.
The city of Darmstadt has for the first time achieved the highest warning level according to the Hessian escalation concept with more than 75 confirmed cases of corona infection per 100,000 inhabitants in one week. Compared to Wednesday, the health department reported 45 new corona cases. There were 142 new cases in the past seven days. The seven-day incidence is now 88.8.
With a new general decree, which will apply from next Saturday until November 21, a mask requirement will be ordered in the pedestrian zone between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. In addition, a maximum of five people or relatives from a maximum of two households are allowed to meet in public. The number of participants in private gatherings in rented rooms is limited to ten people or two households.
The city has also requested units of the federal police to support the local police with the planned controls.
